La Casa de Canja is a cannabis social club in Les Corts for people who want more than a door, a counter and an exit. We built the house around the room: a modern private lounge in Barcelona where students, locals and visitors can sit down, talk, meet people and feel comfortable without having to perform a version of "cannabis culture."
Why the house
The name is the idea. La Casa de Canja should feel like a place you can come back to, not a shop you pass through. That means a welcoming reception, a clean room, familiar faces and a social atmosphere that does not depend on being an expert or knowing the right vocabulary. First-timers and regulars come through the same door. The house is confident without being stiff, young without trying too hard, and private without feeling unfriendly. Our job is simple: keep the room good, keep the process clear and give Barcelona's young social culture a place that feels like its own.
The space
The visual language is dark, clean and modern, but the room should never feel cold. Lighting, seating and the way people use the space matter more than decoration for decoration's sake. This is a lounge you stay in. The design supports conversation, quiet corners and a sense that people belong there, whether it is their first visit or their fiftieth.
The people
A warm first five minutes
Nobody should walk in and feel they have missed a secret briefing. The team explains what matters, answers questions directly and lets the room do the rest.
Regulars make the house
A social club only becomes a real place when people return. Familiar faces, small conversations and the rhythm of regular members are part of the experience, not background noise.
Quality without the speech
We care about consistency, the space and the way members are treated. We do not need to dress that up in grand language. If the details are right, people notice.
Private means private
Discretion is part of the house. Members should be able to relax without feeling watched, documented or turned into content.
Where we are
The house is at Carrer de Gelabert 32, in Les Corts, Barcelona. The location puts La Casa de Canja close to the university zone, Campus Sud and the wider Diagonal/Pedralbes area, while Camp Nou and Plaça de Sants are also within the surrounding district.
